Cassina takes part in “ABITO”, the international exhibition curated by Palomba Serafini Associati
The “ABITO” exhibition, inaugurated at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and curated by architects and designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, makes its international debut at the National Gallery Singapore, from the 3rd to the 17th of October. Bringing together Italian excellence in fashion and design, the exhibition tells the story of the transformation of society and the evolving role of women.
Cassina takes part in this narrative with a selection of eight iconic seating pieces including the CAB chair by Mario Bellini, characterised by a metal skeleton frame upholstered in a tailor-made dress made of self-supporting saddle leather. The upholstery is the result of a long and complex manufacturing process that perfectly represents the brand’s manufacturing excellence.
Also on show is the Indochine small armchair by Charlotte Perriand, alongside the 4 Chaise longue à réglage continu and the 1 Fauteuil dossier basculant by the same designer in collaboration with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Through this selection, the exhibition pays tribute to a pioneer of modernity, whose contribution has profoundly marked the history of 20th Century design.
Following Singapore, Cassina will renew its contribution to “ABITO” at the exhibition’s next international stop in Hong Kong.
